Kristy Harper outside.

Helping change the belt on her Dad’s turntable at 8 years old then at 13 inheriting his massive collection of records spanning disco, funk, afro disco and rock ‘n’ roll, music was destined to be a big part of her life.

After borrowing an old hard drive full of Chicago House and a controller from a friend she spent her breaks from working in a bar learning how to mix anything she could get hold of. These few months and a subsequent move to Berlin would spark her love of house and techno.

Childhood memories of Osibisa, Grace Jones and Larry Levan fused with a new passion for techno and tribal house can be seen in her live sets as she seamlessly weaves through the realms of disco, house and techno adding tropical elements from her travels through South and Central America, Africa and the Carribean.

Her captivating sets have seen her play alongside the likes of Julio Bashmore, Adam Port, Annie Mac, The Cuban Brothers and Norman Jay MBE. Appearing at festivals such as Feel Festival Berlin, Snowbombing, Camden Lock Live and House of Vans 50th Birthday week.

With mixtapes for Bloom Records in Colombia, Pioneer and NTS radio, residencies at Soho House Berlin, New York, London and LA, Groucho Club, Sketch, The Box and Tramp London, 2016 has been a busy year. The last six months of which have been spent tirelessly in the studio working on her forthcoming EP.
